June R. Klein is CEO of Technology & Marketing Ventures, Inc., a New
York consulting and venture development firm teaming with management-funding
and distributor businesses. T&MV Inc. projects include: implementing
strategies for service industries, managing pilot tests for venture partners,
expanding products via customized applications and distribution systems and
evaluating internet companies for investment or turnaround purposes. Ms. Klein helps corporate
and university boards plus shareholder groups via Electronic-Boardroom
TMV® research, training, advice, TV series, network conferencing
and computer database. Clients have included investors, insurance firms,
bank consortiums, student loan authorities, educational districts, mailorder
firms, governing associations, software developers, special telephone firms,
smart card providers, cable set-top manufacturers, international researchers
and electric companies.
Since 1992, Ms. Klein has specialized in advice on boardroom management
issues and implementations of electronic business applications. This expertise is grounded by her previous
positions of increasing responsibility at information technology firms
and global financial institutions. From 1989 to 1991, Klein served as a senior
executive for vertical markets, venture managements, and subsidiaries at
Wang Labs. She was also Managing Director of Global Electronic and Government
Products for Chase Bank from 1986 to 1989 and Vice President of the Information
Business and Global Delivery Services for Citicorp from 1983-1986. Klein
also served as a manager of Sales, Systems Integration and Development for
IBM from 1975 to 1982 after spending the first five years of her career with
Merrill Lynch as a telecommunications project leader.
Klein earned a B.S. in Mathematics from Boston University in 1970 and an
MBA from New York University in 1983. She also earned a Certificate of Data
Processing Management from the Institute of Computer Professionals in 1981
and a Certificate from IBM's Graduate Systems Research Institute in 1977.
Ms. Klein is on the Council of Advisors who consult to Institutional Fund Managers and Venture Capitalists, representing $300 billion in managed funds.
Directorships included: Hanover Direct Inc.-AMEX; Volunteers of America-9 years; Treasurer-Corporate
Directors Association-8 years; NEC/XAP; Visual Technologies; IBM Credit Union;
Wang Financial Info Services; Leadership circle-Women's Campaign Fund-5 years.
Ms. Klein was the women's nominee for the Supporter of Entrepreneurship, Ernst &
Young Award.
Klein launched her Corporate Governance research series at the Oxford University
International Conference on Social Values. The briefing was filmed by Oxford
TV studios, published by Oxford University UK Press plus Inside Boardrooms
and can be licensed and customized to further enhance value. She has presented
at the New York State-Chase-Governing Board Forum, New York University's
Asset Management Seminar, The Turnaround Manager's Association, and the Venture
Group. She is a member of the New Media Association, Licensing Executive
Society; Financial Womens Group and the Outsourcing Institute.
